.Dr Yunus loves meeting people - and the first question he ever asked me (as a career-long media researcher) to try to solve in a team challenge was: how to design a meeting so that Dr Yunus can cheer on a 1000 citizens who are putting the most effort into a cities social actions and social business development. We call this Yunus1000 Forum, and I would so love to get any advice on how to do a good job on this - because if we could map how to do it in one city then seeing Dr Yunus cheer on thousands of people in many different cities would be the second greatest joy of my life (birth of my daughter will always be my first). And with each thousand person meeting openly publishing its catalogue of social action and social businesses we'd be some way to meeting 2 of Dr Yunus' wishes in Creating a world without poverty:

namely chapter 11 a register of social actions that youth anywhere could search and get inspiration or parallel mentoring on

and chapter X the rising up in every city of a social business stockmarket - something cities could look at with much more pride than the very 20th century sector called an investment bank

From Banker for the Poor to Networker for the Poor

As you can see from our column on microcredit, Dr Yunus aleardy has a track record of gravitaing huge movements- the first microcredit summit in 1997 attracted over 2700 people, and over the last decade, the number of people working on microcredit has gone up nearly 10-fold. But Dr Yunus wants citiznes and youth to know that social buisness modelling can be applied to anything that's vital in the community - health, clean energy, water, ending digital divides. So in parallel to Forum meeting 1000, we aim during the university year 08/09 to reach 10000 youth with a dvd of good news stories they can start debating and applying whatever their sustainability foci are. This short video is from Kazi islam Dr Yunus' CEO of technology solutions where frinds of Yunus have the world's most dramatic record of ending digital divides.

YOUTH VERSUS ELDERS

Branding old-timers may be in denial but the truth is that the web is a wholly different dynamic than the advertising spot- and its the web where youth's meaning heroes and heoines are born. Since winning the Nobel prize in 2006, youth pack out city gatherings with Yunus with more excitement than many a pop star. TheGreenChildren network is asking can we connect both   - they have become Dr Yunus' pop group and their first major song to be released by Universal Records is the theme song of ending digotal divides "You Can Hear Me Now". So it seems that the main missing link in uniting the world with ssutainability's good news is the generation that is currently in power at the top of traditional organisations. This is where Y5000Bangla asa registerd club of ambassadors capable of helping export Bangladeshi's Micro knowledge  to every business that could be using it comes in, as does developing a web format so that any region can twin with bangladesh - can you help us improve the 2 etst formats we are evoling http://banglausa.com and Http://anglobangla.com
